Music in the Texas Hill Country
What’s great about the Texas Hill Country is you can almost always find a place to sit outside and enjoy some live music. Because of our convenient location, you have access to some great music venues to have a drink and have some fun!
Whitewater Amphitheater
Since opening its gates in 2007, Whitewater Amphitheater has grown into a nationally iconic live music venue, nestled on the banks of the Guadalupe River, below the canyon bluffs, and right in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind outdoor music experience on the river and under the stars. The venue hosts shows late spring to early fall. Check out their website for event line up and tickets.
Gruene Hall
Gruene Hall, built in 1878, is Texas’ oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. Here you will find some of the best live Americana and Texas music playing everyday of the week, ice cold beer, and a timeless Texas charm that spills out from the open-air side flaps into historic Gruene.

The Dam Red Barn offers specialty drinks, made in house infused vodkas, full liquor bar, domestic and premium beers and a Dam Good Time! They also offer a full restaurant inside. They have weekly entertainment. The Devils Backbone Tavern
The Devil’s Backbone Tavern sits atop one of the most beautiful vistas in all of Texas. At nearly 1,300 feet, the hill it’s perched on offers a clear view of the zigzagging limestone ridge that gave the bar its name. You will find someone playing music here almost any day of the week featuring many Austin and New Braunfels bands. At The Devil's Backbone Tavern you will find good times, good music, and maybe a ghost story or two.
