What is Glamping?
Have you heard of the term glamping? Glamping is the mixture of two words, glamorous and camping. Glamping is a form of camping where you can get close to nature without getting covered in it! Glamping creates a more unique and comfortable experience than traditional camping by providing luxuries from home in an outdoor setting.
Accommodations
Most people don’t have camping supplies on hand. To purchase everything needed to have a successful camping trip, you would spend a lot of money and time preparing for your trip. You would also show up in the middle of nowhere, pitch your tent, and hope you can handle the ever-changing weather conditions. On the other hand, glamping means arriving to your tent and everything is ready and waiting for you. Unlike traditional camping where you would sleep in a sleeping bag or on an air mattress, you have a cozy plush bed with soft linens and cuddle-worthy pillows that you can retreat to each night. The tent is also fully enclosed to protect you from any weather conditions that may arise during your trip.
Air Condition/Heat
Texas weather is extremely bipolar! It can go from 50 degrees to 90 degrees on the same day. Camping outdoors in this kind of weather can be difficult because it is hard to plan for unknown weather conditions. Therefore, we have insulated our tents and equipped them with air conditioning and heat to make your camping experience comfortable no matter what time of year!
Private Indoor Bathroom
Using the restroom outside or sharing a common bathroom with others isn’t the most ideal situation. We provide a private indoor bathroom in each tent where you can relax in the soaking tub, enjoy a shower, and use the bathroom in a toilet that flushes!
Electricity and Water
We live in a world that runs off electricity. You don’t have to worry about charging your devices as our tents have plenty of electricity for all your needs. We also have fresh, cold/hot water to use for cooking, taking a shower or bath, and drinking.
Kitchenette/Grill/Firepit
Although cooking over a campfire can be fun, we do provide several options to choose from at The Getaway Ranch. Our tents have a kitchenette which provides you with basic kitchen needs. You will be able to prepare food and have the supplies you need to do so. Whether you choose to cook your food over the campfire on the firepit, use the provided gas and charcoal grill, or the small kitchen appliances in your tent, you will have all the options you need at The Getaway Ranch.
